Welcome to Oxcombe Pottery!

We've been running hands-on pottery classes at Oxcombe since May 2014, offering friendly sessions for people to discover clay and develop their own creativity, supported by knowledgeable tutors.

Oxcombe Pottery is a dedicated ceramics education space rather than a working pottery, which means that our whole focus is on helping our attendees to learn new skills, experiment, and make work that they are proud of. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of eight, ensuring that you get plenty of one-to-one support.

The Pottery is based in a converted tractor barn, at Oxcombe Farm near Horncastle in Lincolnshire. Some people travel quite a distance to attend, but everyone appreciates the restful and inspiring experience of being at Oxcombe.

About our Classes

We currently have classes running from Tuesday to Saturday, offering regular sessions of 2 or 3 hours duration. We also offer a monthly Taster session so you can see whether you like working with clay or you simply want a fun one-off experience.

Our Pottery tutors

Our three experienced ceramicists will introduce you to handbuilding and throwing techniques, and you will learn about clays, glazes and firing processes along the way. Everyone is supported to learn at their own pace and is encouraged to discover their own areas of interest to explore at Oxcombe.
